We had a very successful opening for the National Gardens Scheme on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August 2016.
Home-made teas were provided by the team from Weston Hospicecare and there were plenty of bargains on the plant stall.
In the course of the two afternoons, 546 people visited the garden and the takings from the gate and the plant stall made £2,007 for the NGS. The Hospicecare team made £965 with their wonderful cakes and cream teas.
We also opened on Sunday 14 August, 1-5pm, along with two of our neighbours, in aid of Friends of Weare Church. The sun shone again and a total of over £1,000 was raised by entrance fees, plant stall and cream teas served in the Church Rooms.
